Transforming Da Vinci

The Adoration of the magi by Leonardo da Vinci has been on display this summer at the Uffizi gallery in Florence. I was able see it in the last few days before the exhibit ended.

You can read more about it here, and see it before it was transformed.

  1. The details in his painting are astonishing. Thinking of how far back that was it doesn’t seem possible. The brushes and paints of today are very different from what they had to work with then. I would love to see the great artists of Italy.
    Issy 😎

  2. I’m fascinated by restoration – such a delicate and occasionally hit-and-miss process. Seeing this is something to treasure – amongst all the other treasures you’ve accumulated in your travels.

I would love to hear from you . . .
