Hidden for millenia, parent and child from the palaeolithic age found in a cave in deepest Turkey and now in the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations in Ankara. They probably have more ‘visitors’ in a day now than they had in their entire lifetime. But is it okay?

A unique interpretation, and food for thought …is it OK?
Ancient species great post for this week themes
Oh. A cool picture in a different way. 🙂
That’s quiet emotive and somewhat sad. If I had my way they should be hidden again.
It is sad that bones are on display. Nice take on hidden.
Interesting photo and does make one think. Why are we so fascinated by skeletons?
As far as a photo goes, I love the way the light touches the bones.
good question, Gilly.
great post.
Hi Gilly – great photos for this weeks theme girl !!!!!!!
Kinda different entry for this week’s theme. Thought-provoking question you left hanging there.
I have a BSc in Anthropology and finds like this were great for researchers to give us clues into our past as well as where we are going. As long as the bones are shown the proper respect they are due, then I feel there are no problems.
Excellent photo and interpretation.
still sad for the child …
It certainly is thought provoking. i tend to believe the should be left hidden and yet I still took the photo. I didn’t know they would be in the museum but I suppose I have seen similar elsewhere.
Beautiful photo!
So moving and poignant.
Oh wow…great found!
Interesting way the light reflected on the body. The eyes were never disturbed or awoken.
Great archeological find. Nice take on the challenge.
