For Sandra who wanted to see the original, a bit of a mess really!
It fits the bill as far as I’m concerned. Great contrast. 🙂
It certainly does ‘fit the bill’. Well done.

Love the blue kite, especially! how whimsical! http://believeanyway.wordpress.com/2012/03/09/weekly-photo-challenge-contrast/
I love this photo.
I would be so scared to walk at such high height looking up…
Me too but it isn’t a person its a sculpture!
Ah that is lovely and yes it works!
That’s contrast all right!
Great shot. Love the blue kite 🙂
Very cool contrast
Great post.
Definitely fits the bill. Great contrast and so interesting. I’d even like to see the original.
I’ve added it for you and you’ll see its nothing special!
Oh my Gilly…not only did you fit perfectly to the theme…but you got an amazing shot…WOW
Down to you for reminding me of invert!
Thank you 🙂
And a very good one!
Love that blue kite. And Winchester is just down the road 😉
You must have seen it then, look right as you walk up the main street! It’s not blue really though -just dark metal, couldn’t tell what colour it was because it was in shadow. Winchester is fab, I went last month for the first time in years.
Cool beans shot Gilly. I like it a lot! Will post mine tomorrow!
I love this! Have you got a facility on your camera that gives this effect?
No, it’s done in photoshop!
Awesome!
great! It inspires me to get back at digital editing.
I love the flexibility of digital art. Cool transition. Do did a good job, Gilly. 😉
Oh, I like the original too, Gilly! It looks like a very interesting sculpture. And something of a feat to get it into that position at that elevation, I would think. Thanks for posting it.
A good one for contrast! Quite a contrast in colors.
Yep, it looks lovely so:0
Wow Gilly, that first image shows off the kite as a brilliant contrast to the background. And the image itself is such a contrast to the original click. BeautIfully done.
And come to think of it, it reminds me a bit of an upcoming post that I have already scheduled. But only a bit. This is much more striking. You will see. 🙂
Looking forward to it Kris!
guess you saw it – it was my milestone post from yesterday. as i said, the difference is much more striking in your post. 🙂
What a nice art.
Absolutely stunning! I love it! 🙂
Great work! Love them. 🙂
A very good choice! Thanks for visiting my blog.
The Bill has passed…Awesome contrast.
Amazing post Gilly i love it 🙂
It’s very artistic! I like it!
Nice image for the challenge, Gilly. I was wondering what it was until you answered my question on your answer to Veehcirra. Lovely and intriguing name she has – isn’t it. Anyway, I like it very much. I am trying to imagine the 3 dimensional – ness of the sculpture.
Yes – I am back – have missed your posts. ill try to catch up.
Toodles,
Izzy

Thanks everyone for saying such nice things!
wonderful contrast!
The color contrast is wonderful.
I will send you some of my mess, since you are a genious of making art out of waste. Kudos 🙂
wow, this is so cool and beautiful. love it!
My friend, it fits the bill perfectly. Made me smile knowing in life, there’s always the chance to soar, be free, to be happy, to have fun. Beautiful!
That is an awesome picture. Was it in front or on top of a building? 😉
Thanks, It was above the road, connecting the buildings on the first floor 🙂
Beautiful photograph. The color of the kite and color of background of that image are complementing each other so beautifully.
this is great!!! I haven’t done one for this week yet! Now I’m inspired!
A fabulous photo, Gilly – and I love what you have done with it to create a contrastive work of art
Thanks, it’s nice to see you back here and I hope you are feeling well 🙂
