I think they liked me

They were inquisitive in their goosey way

But they soon got bored

and waited for someone with more to offer than chat.

I know . . . but I’m rather fond of geese.

  1. I love your geese Gilly … they are just like the beautiful geese I had many years ago, I did adore them, and even showed them in the local show … your photos bring back all their great expressions, and their soft sounds 🙂

  2. I have a group (dont know their official group name) of young male turkeys-big-but still hanging around together, that follow me everywhere-I say that I am their Pied Piper…I feed the sunflower seeds, they walk right up to me, I could touch them if I tried. They have a distinct pecking order, often fighting over who gets to eat first, even though I spread the seeds out. I have gotten to know them so well, I have named the,. Its not as frightning to see a group of turkeys running at you as it is the bears we have in our mountains since the wealthy built houses on mountaintops and isolated areas and drove them down to where they know there are easy pickings. We see the bears so often, no one even gets excited about it anymore, unless its a close encounter…beebee

  3. Cute post, Gilly. I’m not one who is afraid of animals. I don’t have the same fear with spiders, snakes or sharks than most people do. But with geese, uh-uh, I can not … nah ah… go near them.
    Anyhow, very cute post.

I would love to hear from you . . .
