I’m a bit behind with my summer journal for Myfanwys group. It isn’t that I haven’t been working on it, just enjoying the process. This weekend my friend and I decided that we would try something we’ve both always wanted to do, making paper. so I didn’t follow the prompts!
Here is a step on the way, pulping recycled paper in a food processor with paint to add colour.
Some of the results. This was for July 6th.
and here
Putting it to use, on July7th.

Very Artistic. Have a good day. Kharis Macey
Thank you Kharis 🙂
Brilliant. love the wall hanging
An excellent use of your time. It’s fun, isn’t t. Now you have some lovely paper to use in your journal too 🙂
(Hope you remembered the lid on the liquidiser……. )
That looks like fun, Gilly. Beautiful wall hanging.The colour is lovely. 🙂
I love the color and wow, what an idea. Have you made lots. Pretty cool hanging as well. 😀
Excellent use of the challenge you’ve set yourself, Gilly ~ I’m all for doing what grabs you in the moment, rather than following the prompts. I’ve made paper ~ it’s so satisfying and you can add petals to the pulp mix and even made some from carrot tops, which was beautiful but incredibly fragile. I love the deep colour you’ve achieved ~ it often dries out really pale. Love the wall hanging ~ might just get my stash out and do something creative with it! Great post! 🙂
I need some new wallpaper, Gilly 🙂 Might be rather a large project? 🙂
Maybe one wall? slowly? 🙂
Good thinking 🙂
That is so pretty! My favourite colours!
Is there anything you can’t do Gilly ??
Looks lovely Gilly. You are so creative.
OMG! This is way impressive, Gilly! Where are the steps? I may want to try it meself. It looks so easy. I’ma pinterest it. Pinteresters will find it very useful. This reminds me of an episode of The Amazing Race where they made a paper out of elephant dung. 🙂
Er… you don’t have the pinterest tab. oh well.
Paper making is fun. I enjoy doing except for the clean-up afterwards. lol
Have you tried adding things to the paper for texture. If you haven’t try it as it give the paper lots of magical designs. Mohair or fiber yarns and beads work real well. Great results you’ve accomplished … love them.
~~~ : – )
Love what you did right there. Let me try as well. 🙂
Awesome! 🙂
