a wasted harvest? i concur with many of the sentiments above – not when it inspires an evocative post,
and when it makes bloggers around the world think and smile as they read this post,
and when it leaves seeds behind to create an even more abundant harvest next year.
and who knows what that harvest will bring about?

Is a harvest ever wasted? There’s an existential question for you. This one isn’t wasted, because it inspired your haiku and a beautiful photo.
Exactly my thoughts too and if I may add, consequently brightened our day! 🙂
So evocative Gilly…..and the photo leaves us with so many questions….I love it!
I guess there will be even more next year if all the seeds inside get a chance to take hold in the earth. A terrific story prompt shot, too.
Your lovely Haiku is proof that it was visually inspiring. Sad about the waste.

Wasted harvest.? Maybe.
Food for thought.? Definitely.
🙂
Wonderful Haiku, Gilly. The field looks lovely and I hope the harvest wasn’t wasted, but it does look forgotten. 😮
An image with a story! You are such a tease, Gilly, but your haikus are brilliant. 🙂
