Tucked away in a little side street near Piazza di Santa Croce, Florence, we found this little shop full of all things Pinocchio. I vaguely knew that the little character was Italian, but it seems that Geppetto the woodcarver created him in a village near Florence.
Doesn’t the shop have a lovely glow?
I remember this little shop very well. Lovely photo, Gilly. 🙂
Lovely glow, Gilly! So beautifully captured. 🙂
That’s quite some glow, Gilly!
It does indeed, and you’ve captured it. Not an easy thing to do. I hope your week winds down gently, and your weekend … glows!
Love this one! This is one of my favorite stories. Such a quaint shop and so much to see. These are the kinds of shops that speak to me.
This is lovely!
It does indeed. Looks wonderful
Really glows and well caught Gilly
I wonder what untruths he told as his nose is quite long? The light is perfect.
As a child I was frightened of Pinocchio and in fact any marionette . There was a shop in Wakefield that sold them and I find it very scary!
That glow you’ve captured Gilly makes the Pinocchio scene so magical … makes you anticipate a puppet performance! I have a sterling silver Pinocchio I wear on a chain. It’s legs, head and arms are articulated. Lovely!
The shot has a wonderful glow Gilly .. lovely pic 😀
