I just love it and you seem to quite like it too!

That’s Winchester for now, if I get a chance I’ll go back in summer when the water meadow looks lovely and hope for some blue sky!
Come away with the raggle taggle gypsy-o

Great shots =)
I’m singing Winchester Cathedral right this minute! Always surprising how you remember tunes and lyrics from long ago. Margie
Me too and I wish I could get it out of my head!
You’re breakin’ me do-own!
I love every last image..and I want to visit!
oh so tempting … would love to visit … you had me singing the first time around 🙂
Sorry about the song! yes you would love the area, not far from stonehenge too!
It looks lovely. I adore the detail and old architecture. Thanks for sharing.
You have such a wonderful eye for photography, Gilly. Thanks for sharing your takes with us. The Architecture is beautiful! 🙂
Thanks Marcy, its even nicer in the sunshine!
I love the feeling in these photos. Felt like I was there.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it, do you think I should offer my services to the tourist board? 🙂
What a nice town. Great shots.
It is lovely and has a very long and interesting history, the ancient capital of Wessex!
This is fun … I love it. A tour without the walking. These were
a fabulous array of photo’s depicting the town. The first one
has outstanding architecture. Is Buddy’s a famous eatery???
It looks like an old fashioned diner where you meet after school
for some cokes and gossip. Very nicely done, Gilly, and it wasn’t
a challenge being presented.
Toodles,
Izzy
I don’t think its famous no, it was tucked in a side road but its brightness on a grey day made me smile!
It certainly is a beautiful city, and so much history too. Love the photos too.
(I’ve heard it’s a good place for cakes, too…..)
There were lots of lovely market stalls with cakes and bread that looked divine but I resisted and had some very special chocolate instead!
Yum!
Gilly, these are great! And yes, I DO remember the song. It’s running through my mind as I write this, of course.
I hope it didn’t stay in your head too long!
Oh, yes – I too remember the song! Lovely shots!
I haven’t been there for a while. Is there still a cat in the cathedral shop?
We didn’t have enough time to go inside, will know to look out for it when I go back though!
Simply beautiful… 😉
