  1. OH MY. “your golden prize has fallen like lost wedding bands from hands of grieving widows” – what an amazing couple of lines! I think that image is going to haunt me. Very autumnal. And as I re-read your tanka, I realize that you’ve kind of combined poetic forms from Japanese and English (meter and alliteration)…I love this one, Gilly.
