Pete Rosos says,
For this week’s Photo Challenge, stimulate your creative process and imagine which of your images you would like to see gracing the cover of a book, an album, or a magazine. Would the image inspire us to take a peek through the pages, listen to the music, or buy a ticket to the show? Would it strike a chord with viewers, making them reflect on or revisit memories of places, people, and experiences?
This calls for weird doesn’t it? or perhaps its just an excuse for me to be silly. So this is the cover of a book that I would never write!
What would your book cover look like? Show us or see more at

That would be a cover that would catch people’s eye in a store. Very cool. Hugs, Barbara
Eye-catching for certain but what might be found between the covers? Mayhem and murder? Definitely something d.a.r.k. and unusual. XD
Very cool and a lot like where my mind and camera went this week.

That’s very definitely wierd, Gilly! 🙂 🙂 Happy weekend to you!
You’ve really been creative. I don’t think I’ll read this one late at night home alone – dismemberment of body (or personhood: i can see the possibility of psychic disintegration in the image) is not for such a time.
How did you create the image? It looks as if it might be fun to play round with the technique.
Ummm – a great poster, don’t you think, for performance art? 🙂
Now, you can’t get away with that, Gilly. When you put a picture like that up, you should HAVE to write the story that goes with it. Don’t leave us out here wondering what it means. Put some words to it please — only not too terribly dark so we won’t have nightmares.
Lol, that is brilliant!
How fun! This could be for a book, album or magazine. I’m with everyone else, we really need to read this book now. Haha.
That’s a really horrific cover, Gilly. I wouldn’t buy the book, even if it was written by you. 😀
hahaha … perfect image for the Odd Photo Challenge, Cee has every week. A book ,,, mmmmmmm .
It was FUN and isn’t that what we need from time to time. Happy hanging all weekend !!!!! 😄
hi Gilly, two or three years I followed the inspiring Friday photo challenge of the “Daily Post” team, then I liked it more, to search for own topics. So the dialogue with you inspired me to post today this:

Wow! That is quite a creation Gilly! How did you do it? I have to say I would probably pick the book up to see what it was about but may not read it if it is blood & gore! Fabulous!
I would get in line to buy your book. An autographed copy!
Very cool.
I wish you a nice weekend
dear Gilly = Lucid Gypsy –
I had problems to translate Lucid:
translations for “lucid”
1 – klar = clear, plain, transparent, understood, crisp, lucid
2 – durchsichtig = transparent, clear, limpid, lucid, see-through
3 – luzid = lucid, translucent
4 – hell = bright, light, pale, clear, fair, lucid
5 – einleuchtend = plausible, reasonable, lucid, valid, perspicuous, satisfactory
6 – anschaulich = graphic, clear, vivid, descriptive, concrete, lucid
7 – transparent = transparent, clear, diaphanous, lucid
8 – präzise = precise, exact, concise
9 – scharfsinnig = perceptive, percipient, astute, penetrating, penetrative, lucid
+
which meaning 1-9 is YOUR message?
That’s an easy decision, scharfsinnig!
So now I’ve edited my ‘who is LG’ to include scharfsinnig!
Cool! Seeing the original pic now. You did some very creative surgery on this image. Real cool!
Wonderfully weird. I’m a big fan of the negative/positive collage motif. Very cool.
Haha fun contribution!!
this is very clever and simply no idea how you achieved it x
🙂 It is certainly art Gilly!
I knew if I stopped by to check you out, You’d have pieced together another fabulous post. Very imaginative ‘cover’ design. 🙂
Thanks Marcy 🙂
