It is in the house that one belonged to Agatha Christie and is now a National Trust property, so she owned it. It was incredibly detailed and Ican’t imagine how it was made, I liked to look but wouldn’t want it myself.
This was a piece owned by Agatha Christie and in her home on the river Dart. It’s now a National Trust property. More here https://lucidgypsy.wordpress.com/2014/04/13/
I just keep my eyes open 🙂
Its about 18 inches high and it belonged to Agatha Christie, It’s still in what was once her home here in Devon. I’ve taken you there a couple of times before! https://lucidgypsy.wordpress.com/2014/04/13/
Oh my, this looks like a large vase that would be in a hotel foyer for visitors to photograph due to its unusual design. I’m torn between liking it or not. You photographed it beautifully. 😁
Oh, I hate no words! I want the story of this wonderful … piece. A very satisfying early morning image.

Unique piece, Gilly. Where do you find your subject matter?

Is this where Agatha hid her manuscripts??? On a more serious note, I’d HATE to have to dust it regularly.

Yes, and see the link above! I find this piece interesting but wouldn’t want to own it!
Fabulous piece! (I also thought the same as Maureen, about the dusting.) 🙂
Too right, all those tiny nooks and crannies!
Amazing – ornament on top of ornament!
And I don’t want to dust it either.
Miss Christie had strange taste but I don’t expect she dusted it herself!
I don’t like things to dust either, but this is interesting. Can you put anything inside? How big is it? What’s its story? 🙂

I find it interesting but wouldn’t want to own it Issy! It belonged to Agatha Christie and is still in her home in Devon.
Have you been to her home? Is she as popular there as she is in the state? It is all very fascinating, indeed. : )
Stunning … and all in porcelain! I’d be afraid to come anywhere near those delicate edges with a dust cloth. Good eye, as always Gilly!
Thanks Cheryl and I wouldn’t want it either 🙂
Loving the birds Gilly! I’ve got a bit of a bird thing going myself at the mo ~ beautiful! 🙂
Birds in your art? we need to see 🙂
Maybe ~ just experimenting at the moment! 😉
Ooh, that’s pretty Gilly! Where’s it from? Your tags are cryptic as always 🙂
It’s in Agatha Christies house on the river Dart. Yes its pretty but a bit over the top for me 🙂
For me too 😊
I’m with Madhu on this…so please explain the link between ‘Agatha Christie’s Pot’ and the image dear Gilly.
Her home, Greenway is beside the river Dart in Devon and this piece belonged to her. It’s now a National Trust property. 🙂
Gilly tell me where it came from 🙂 kidding … ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL Gilly 🙂
Do you like it? I find it fascinating but wouldn’t want it. It belonged to the writer Agatha Christie and is still n her home in Devon.
Nice!
It’s certainly an interesting piece!
