I love this.
I think I’m going to create a new award — with NO RULES OR REQUIREMENTS — for the writers of excellent haiku. You will be at the top of my list. (Of course, with all the other jobs I have, it may take a good little while to do that, so I’ll go ahead and tell you right now how great this is.)
This is a stunning Haiku, Gilly. Sigh. Superb. ❤ ❤ ❤ I'm with Sandra.
The clouds in the photo put me in mind of a new bird, the flock flying behind the big one. Odd how that happens.

Ahh thanks, the phone photo doesn’t do the scene justice that evening, it would be impossible not to be inspired!

Thanks Tess, I love your creative thinking 🙂 I don’t think anyone noticed the kite surfers n the water though!
wondered for a second what the two white spots were but disregarded them. ❤
Perfect haiku for you lovely photo, Gilly. 🙂
Thank you 🙂
A perfect haiku, my dear. 🙂
I’m taking a bow to the Queen!
And a flotilla of clouds drifting in to dock.
Beautiful picture, beautiful haiku.
One more line and you have a haiku, you could use my pic and finish it off, Celestine does!
Ooh, good point! What I was trying to do was hint at Anglo-Saxon poetry, with the four-beat line pausing midway and the alliteration. But…
And a flotilla
Of clouds drifting in to dock –
Beautiful skyshore!
Perfect pairing! 🙂
Thank you, did you spot the kite surfers?
