The horizon leans forward, offering you space to place new steps of change
Maya Angelou
This weeks photo challenge at the Daily Post has been set by Krista, very timely in these last few weeks of a turbulent year.
Here in my photo, some are strolling, some swimming towards, some catching a wave away from the horizon.
How about you, will you stride towards the future with positivity, or wallow in a mire of indifference?
What s wonderful photo and a great theme for this week.
A great capture for this week’s theme, and really like the quote from a fine writer.
Thank you Tom 🙂
Nice take on the theme!! I’ll be waltzing toward positivity!
That’s the best way!
I like how you used the senior citizens on the weathered rock to lead our eye into the scene (and the younger crowd). A great B&W photo.

Thank you Allan 🙂
Yours is an incredibly dramatic Horizon photo with lots of possible stories. Nice.
Thanks Ruth, I’m glad you liked it!
nice and rich photo – whispers of unity and new horizons – and like the maya quote 🙂
Thank you!
It looks a bit like Bass Rock, off the coast of Berwick, Gilly, but you’ve not been up that way. Nice shot though 🙂 🙂
Hopefully striding, but you never know. Like the quote too.
I wonder what draws young and old like a magnet. An interesting B&W photo. ❤ 🙂
The sky looks ominous. You’ve captured the feeling, Gilly.
May my 2017 be filled with steps of change at becoming a more centered spiritual being.
I wish this for you too.
Have a peaceful weekend.
Issy 😎
Great image, Gilly! Let’s embrace 2017 with positivity….
The light is wonderful, Gilly, and I love the line of people walking- a dynamic composition.
Reminds me of Morro Bay in California… 😉
This one could almost do conceptual too! A great photo, and really good in b&w.
Love this capture, Gilly! Beautiful seascape, wonderful to include people here.
This is a glorious shot. I will be posting mine tomorrow. Where did you capture this, Gilly? I wasn’t aware that this was a turbulent year for you, but I hope that 2017 will be better for all of us.
Rendered beautifully in B&W, Gilly.

Wow Gilly .. This is so good!
I have so much respect for Maya Angelou and this photo reminds me of the Oregon coast, which I have had the pleasure of traveling down in the past. Love the ocean and reminds me of being there.
