In Rajasthan, no matter how remote, the Road Taken will always have plenty of these.
Whether you travel the road on a bike, car, a camel or cow cart, you will find shops with fizzy pop, snacks and a public call office.

A great photo, providing a vivid memory of rural India.
You’ve been everywhere! A great post for the theme. No doubt I’ll keep discovering roads you’ve taken forever.
I wish! no it’s just I’ve taken loads of photos of the few places I’ve been!
I echo Meg! You do seem to have travelled to some remote regions! I wonder how many of these are still around given that everyone, even in the poorest of countrie,s has a mobile phone!
I hardly travelled anywhere until I was in my forties, because I don’t do lying on beaches so didn’t want to go to the places I could afford. I’m still poor, but I’ve managed to see a few fantastic places!
I had a time out when I was raising the 4 kids on my own and couldn’t afford anywhere (well I did manage a caravan once in Cornwall). Being able to afford to travel again was such a delight.
I like this photo. Sis, you are a consummate traveler 🙂
I really wish I was 🙂
A beautiful photo, Gilly! Always enjoy your travel photos. 🙂
Interesting places you’ve been to, Gilly. India is such a conundrum, isn’t it? I’m never sure if I would actually like it but the architecture is phenomenal. 🙂
