Landscapes really aren’t something I’m any good at, but that’s what Amy challenged us to post, so here I go.
Dartmoor, just a little way north of Scorhill circle, and south west of Gidleigh, this is the Wallabrook clapper bridge. As you know, Scorhill is a place I love.
A cool, natural stone bridge. I wouldn’t say you aren’t good at landscapes, Gilly, this is a pleasing composition. π
Ahh you’re very kind Jane, thank you. I don’t think you’re blogging recently are you? I wouldn’t want to miss you π
Hi! Yes, weekly. Not sure whatβs going on with notifications. Checking with WP.
I don’t know what goes wrong either, I’ll be back tomorrow!
Thanks, Gilly!
I’d love to take a long walk into that enticing landscape, Gilly. π
That’s a beautiful shot, darlin! There’s not much you can’t do if you want to ππ·π»π xx
A beautiful composition, a tree beside the stone bridge, the foreground grass, and the water running through that leads your eyes to the hilly field… taking my breath away.
Thank you so much for sharing, Gilly.
Oh ditto to what any said …..
ahhhh
Lovely composition, Gilly – just asking for us to walk into that landscape!
A beautiful landscape, Gilly. The light is perfect. That stone bridge is quite a feat of engineering.
I like the tree the most – but Amy’s comment was a great comment – eh?
I know what you mean about landscapes. My photography was always about close-ups, details, portraits until recent years when have attempted to try my hand at landscapes and seascapes. I think this is a lovely image and beautifully captured. “Wallabrook clapper bridge” could almost be Australian with that name π
Such a sweet little bridge … lovely landscape too.
And … the lone tree seems to be saying something like I’ll stand here even
if I am alone. Great entry … Issy π
Youβve really captured a feeling of tranquil beauty Gilly
Just lovely. Soothing. Harmonious. Well done.
BEAUTIFUL, Gilly!
Well of course Gilly, how could you NOT??? What a beautiful spot
ooh I want to go for a walk here!
You sure your not very good at this π Great photo Gilly. Looks like my sort of place ..
A perfect spot for meditations.
