It’s Sunday post time again and this week Jakes Challenge is Stairway. There will be lots of entries to see including Jakes wonderful animations, here – http://jakesprinters.wordpress.com/2012/02/04/sunday-post/
And this is my post, Khuldera in the Thar desert.

Very simple, very beautiful. (And somehow it reminds me of Escher’s impossible staircases!)
I hadn’t thought of that Sharon but yes you’re right!
Excellent!
Thank you 🙂
A part of India that I know nothing about. That will have to change.
I highly recommend it!
Oh, that is so gorgeous Gilly! Stunning entry hon! 🙂
*hugs*
It was fab, I can still feel the air there!
I love this Gilly, It would be beautiful done up as a wall hanging, using fabric to replicate the elements, don’t you think?
I wish I had the ability to create such images, a brilliant idea honey 🙂
the pleasing simple form of these mud buildings resonates with our humanity, so glad to see that one is still in good repair, reassuring!
You must have been very close to it Christine, you were in the Thar weren’t you?
The colours of the desert, stark and beautiful! Love it!
Me too and I’m pleased that you like desert also 🙂
🙂
What a spectacular shot Gilly…love it. i think it should be hanging somewhere on your wall.
🙂
I would love to go back to India now I have a better camera!
Go woman…go !!!!!!!
I think this is very old Structure , How they build the staircase inside and outside looks so powerful and still there, Great work for this week topic Gilly, nice work 🙂
Thanks Jake, it was in a very old deserted village!
Great shot! I remember seeing something like this in Saudi Arabia.
I would love to visit Saudi!
Beautiful stairway with a rich, fascinating history. Let the adventure begin…Thanks for today’s inspiration.
Yes, just imagine the stories those walls could tell!
This is interesting. Thanks for sharing.
a nice house – but do they have water there?
There is a well there and our driver said that once he looked down into it and saw something shining so he climbed down and found a sword! But no water then but maybe when the rains come 🙂
Your pix are magazine worthy, Gilly.
Missed seeing you images and your posts. Hope to catch up soon.
Glad to be back – missed all of you. Thanks for your good thoughts.
So sweet …
hugs,
Izzy xoxo
