The Sunday Post: Silence

Jake has picked another good theme this week.

He says ‘Silence is the relative or total lack of audible sound. By analogy, the word silence may also refer to any absence of communication, even in media other than speech.Silence is also used as total communication, in reference to non verbal communication and spiritual connection. Silence is also referred to no sounds uttered by anybody in a room and or area. Silence is a very important factor in many cultural spectacles, as in rituals.’

My photo for silence inspired me to write a short story a couple of years ago. I believe this gentleman was sitting in quiet contemplation about something that had happened and that was the basis of the story. What do you think is on his mind?

Sunday Post: Water H2o

Sunday is Jakes day! Water is the theme for this weeks photos and mine are five miles and eight thousand miles from home.

Near, the Exe from the Goat Walk at Topsham

Far, beside the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur

And back to the Exe, it never fails me even with a phone camera.

My photos are a bit predictable, I love where I live and Kuala Lumpur is probably my all time favourite city to visit. For some more original work visit Jake and check out his amazing animations as well as the other entrants.

Sunday Post: Vehicle

It’s time for Jake’s Sunday post once again! This time the entries are so awesome that I’m  not trying to compete. I have to confess that although I set the shot up and it was taken with my camera, I didn’t actually press the shutter! We came across this sexy little beast in Italy and I couldn’t resist pretending it was mine, just for a second.  I don’t know what it is, but it’s divine 😉

Sunday Post: Light

This post if for Jakes regular Sunday post here have a peep, join in and share your photos and check out Jake’s stunning graphics!

These are my mermaids of light! I’ve been waiting for a reason to post this photo, I love it, click on it to appreciate the light. Incidentally my novel in progress is about a modern day girl caught up in the mermaid myth.
