Sara Rosso says ‘Pattern. Patterns are everywhere. Patterns are sometimes intentional and sometimes accidental. They can be decorative or merely a result of repetition, and often patterns can be in the eye of the beholder to discover them.’
I love patterns of course,it’s another reason to photo graph details. Here are my choices.

Beautiful patterns Gilly!!!
🙂
So many beautiful and varied examples of patterns … love it, Gilly!
I love the blue rug, Gilly, but my favourite is the leaf – superb!
Wow. Love your selection. How DO you find such interesting pictures for your challenges? I like the blue tapestry(?) or is it a rug?
Oh bless you, I just love photography and when I get the chance to take my camera out I’ve beenknow to come home with 500 pictures in a day – mostly rubbish! The blue picture was made from tiles and I saw it in Cappadochia and would really have loved to buy it but it was way beyond my price range.
Mmmm … all those beautiful rugs … fab. I thought I was going to see those beautiful silk fabrics.
Good entry, Gilly.
Luscious patterns. Great finds.
Love the ceramic tree of life Gilly, and those flower balls. Your leaf of course is the star 🙂
Love the leaf!
I was willing to bet these photos were taken in Turkey, Gilly. I love the Turkish carpets and the interior of that portico. Where was that one taken?
It’s the library at Ephesus and the rugs and tiled tree are also in Turkey but the rest are right here in Devon!
Oh, wow!! I’ve been to the Library at Ephesus, but I didn’t get that under-view! 🙂
Wonderful!. My favorite is Pattern #1
These are really wonderful finds, Gilly. I especially like those spheres with the flower pattern and the single leaf. Very nice.
you have caught such rich patterns gilly, from the filigree to the carpets, and the marble!!!
Have to agree about the leaf, Gilly – Mother Nature beats everything, hands down, eh?
Patterns makes everything around us look richer, more interesting and yes, beautiful just like these series of inspiring images. Have a great weekend.
Lovely selection there Gilly!
Stunning tiles!
Great entry for this week photo challenge Gilly 🙂
The leaf is my favorite!
What a lovely variety of patterns, the marble is so beautiful but I like the delicate leaf… so simple
Gilly, I took a very similar photo at the library in Ephesus!
hi Gilly,
my favorite: pattern 6 = the blue tree!
love all your patterns especially the rug patterns…♥
Real nice work
Nice variety of patterns! I really like that dried leaf as a skeleton of veins.
Thanks for your continued support, Lucid Gypsy! Do you know how I can look up a tag, or topic and find articles to read that I have not yet followed? I can’t seem to figure out how to do it. I am terrible on computers! Thanks. beebee
HI Beebee on the right side of yor reader page you will find ‘explore topics’, see if that is what you need 🙂
