Day three of the five day Haiku challenge from Krista at the Daily Post. Here is the photo I used for inspiration.
Next Generation
Red heart full of seeds
burst spread your bounty and then
disintegrate
There’s still time to join in because you can post five days in one if you like!

A perfect match of picture and poem – but what IS that?
It’s a seed/fruit of a dogwood or Cornus Kousa, I saw it from an angle that looks like a heart – I think!
Yes, it’s definitely heart-shaped. ๐
My, Gilly, how poignant this is — but so beautiful. The life and legacy of a flower. It makes us stop and contemplate what kinds of seeds we’re spreading from our own hearts, doesn’t it?
I should like to tell you how much I appreciate you through the inspiration of your blog and how Thankful I am that you touch my life. Happy Thanksgiving, Friend!
Such a descriptive haiku with a literal AND metaphorical theme. Love it! ๐
Perfect!
Lovely combination of picture and haiku, well done.
Creation and destruction. ๐
The picture suits the Haiku or is it that the Haiku suits the picture? Splendid, whichever way you look at it. Looks like candy too. ๐

Another great one, Gilly. An interestingly unusual challenge – don’t you think???

Absolutely beautiful shot and haiku Gilly. Love it! ๐ *hugs*
Have never seen anything like it Gilly! The Haiku is just perfect!
