So I’ve just made a bandana for Dido. I don’t think she’s too amused, but I can’t be certain because like me, she is camera shy. Whenever I see dogs wearing them I think they are cute and finally I got round to it, guess what? the fabric is leftover from a top that I made for myself!
Does anyone else’s dog have a bandana? Diamond studded collar? Raincoat? Or do you think they look ridiculous? Answers on a postcard please π
I think dogs who wear accessories get used to them and I think they look pampered. π
Have I missed something in my absence?
What does – answers on a postcard – mean?
I’ve seen lots of people put decorative things on their pets. I like it.
I think it brings out a personality in a dog. Cats will have none of it.
LOL
I’ve tried collars on my cat but it comes off almost immediately.
Dido looks precious with her new bandana. Good job in making suck a pretty one. ~~~~ : – )

We have 5 dogs or as my wife calls them “babies” and when we take them to the groomer they always come home with a bandana. I think they look great, but I’m certain that the “babies” would disagree. Yours looks terrific whether Dido thinks so or not…very classy and colorful. π
Dido’s not buying it π
I used to dress up my cats when I was a kid. I got a lot of joy out of it -them not so much. I think it is cute though. My parents have a winter coat and rain coat for their dog. She actually likes it. And the other day a dog got off a lead and attacked her… my dad said her little rain coat saved her from any cuts and harm. It protected her skin and gave him enough time to pin the other dog down so little Molly could make an escape and the owner could come and get the wild dog.So silly as it may look it came in handy!
When I was in Venice a few years ago I bought a couple of terribly smart Italian collars for The Girls. Unfortunately (or fortunately, perhaps?) I over-estimated the size of my darlings’ necks, and they didn’t fit. So I understand the compulsion, which I suppose is related to our childish dressing ups of our cats and dogs, and perhaps of certain mothers, who sassily their children β¦ I’m wondering if you’ve chosen well for Dido – something a little more ‘organic’, or seriously beatnik perhaps? π
I have been trying to knit Chevvy a winter coat but the other day I saw one I think I will buy her.
It’s very chic, Gilly. You must wear your matching top when you take her out with you. π
Super~cool, Gilly ~ I love the zingy colours! even though Dido doesn’t look too impressed!! I’m picturing the two of you out together, in your matching outfits ~ please post a photo! π
I think I’m the wrong one to ask, because I don’t like dogs Gilly. π A lovely fabric though π
All she needs to complete that look is a pair of sexy dark glasses π
A hit or miss for me. But whoa for the design you chose.
