Now I wonder if there are more than two people, but it doesn’t matter. Your toe and someone else’s hand does make the picture interesting. The winding stair make me think of a green garden snail’s shell. 🙂
This one makes me dizzy just looking down(?) into(?) it – and I’m not even sure what I’m looking at. Is it a spiral staircase? A snail shell? A bit of architectural detail? It doesn’t quite look like any of them, but it still makes me dizzy!
If I found myself at the top of the tower, i don’t think I’d have much choice! But I might spend the whole descent clutching the banister, feeling with my toes for the edge of the step, and staring straight ahead.
And now that I’ve read the other comments – I must have been really dizzy to not-see the hand! 😀
Oooooh! What a shot.
hahaha should I have edited out my toe?!
Absolutely not! We only get to see you in bits, mostly, so keep them coming.
No, your toe and the glimpse of someone’s hand are what make the shot.
Very, very good shot
Glad you didn’t edit out the toe!
Terrific image.

Gilly! This ‘ammonite’ staircase is making me dizzy. Great shot.
It made me dizzy too! It’s inside the narrow tower at Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. 🙂 at least I’m not frightened of heights.
Great shot, Gilly. Did you count the stairs? 🙂
Thanks Sylvia, no I had to concentrate on where each foot was going to go and take photos as well. It’s about 400 though!
i wouldn’t have noticed the toe nor made out the staircase without the comments. 🙂
Wonderful photography.
Oh bless you, that’s praise indeed from you Cee 🙂

So you wouldn’t haved walked down the spiral stairs from the tower of Sagrada Familia with me then? 🙂

Fantastic, stomach churning perspective Gilly 😉 And that hand does make the shot.
Thanks Madhu, if ever you can, go and see it!
