I’m in awe of your capacity to write an encapsulating haiku according to the calendar! You have colour and smell and ambience, all in a handful of words. And the photo is very nicely composed too. I’m struggling to play rengay with a friend down the coast, although she sent me a very handy article that may increase my capacity to self-edit at least.
Great shot and haiku of these beauties Gilly. We have moonflowers here as well. Pink and yellow. Did you know they’re poisonous and was well known as an essential ingredient of potions and witches’ brews. 😆
Yes I know 😀 i didn’t know your name for them though, how lovely. The formal name used to be datura here but now it’s brugmansia! Thanks for visiting my dear.
Love the angle of the photo Gilly and the words evoke the smell of summer. I follow Lisa, and artist, at Zeebra designs and destinations https://playamart.wordpress.com/2015/08/28/timeout-for-art-new-endings/ her latest art project is a delightful painting of these Angels Trumpets, you may be interested to pop over and see it.

You’ve got to love Datura, such beautiful flowers.
Your photo is overflowing with light of summer and lushness of growth.
Love the photo, Gilly. The previous comment took the words out of my mouth. I sure c.a.n. smell the floral perfume in the air. Mm mm.<3 ❤
