Today is my last of seven posts for the Nature Photo Challenge, began by Ulli, and passed to me by the lovely Amy. It coincides with my regular Thursday haiku, which I try to write based on the natural world, in the true spirit of haiku, so it made sense to combine the two.
Thanks to Amy, Ulli and my friends for joining in. If you want to take part in the challenge please run with it and enjoy!
The Sycamore moth
a bold and fluffy surprise
gift of prickly heat
Wow, quite stunning.
If that is the prickly caterpillar, what does the moth look like?
Surprisingly dull and beige!
What a surprising and fun post Gilly…..he looks like a long pompom!!
You had me grinning my head off at the title before I ever got to the post, Gilly! And then, POW! I love it!!! 🙂 Fabulous shot and prickly haiku- what more could I want? Happy Thursday, darlin! I hesitate to invite you over to the ‘dark side’ with me today 🙂 🙂
Really enjoyed these 7 days Gilly. Thank you!
Eeek! Like a creepy crawler to me.
Oh, I love it. And your photo is amazing.
Why stop at 7 days? I too have thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of your series, and this creature is a visual darling, although it sounds as if you might not want to get up close. You’ve captured every filament.
Oh, now then, Gilly. I think you just made this critter up so you could write the haiku! 🙂
Fantastic shot.
What a fuzzy and colorful fellow. Amazing markings. Love the haiku. As always, you’ve captured your subject and so well. 🙂 ❤
neat piece of art
Such a beautiful haiku for the gorgeous little caterpillar of the Sycamore moth Gilly. Great shot of it. 😀
Who is the “lazy poet”? Certainly not you!
Prickly little guy, I can feel him crawling up my leg.
Such a fun haiku, Gilly. I would steer clear of any caterpillars, especially a prickly heat one. 😕
A gorgeous critter admired from afar! 🙂 Perfect Haiku Gilly.
Love the effect of press studs along his back, just waiting to zip open. Good finale for your 7 days.
A handsome caterpillar .. 😊
What a wonderful artwork, Gilly.
Greetings,
Ulli
