Exeter Pride 2017

The ninth Exeter Pride took place on Saturday, so I went downtown to check it out. Here are some of my hundreds of photos.

I followed the procession through the High Street for half a mile, then up into Northernhay Park, where the celebrations continued for the rest of the day.

Next year I’ll make sure I have time to stay for the stage entertainment. I was able to see Jos Stone doing sound checks, but not perform and I know there was a lot more to see. A great day out and it’s free!

  1. It sounds a lot of fun, Gilly. Is it in support of gays or just expressing pride in Exeter generally? Good excuse for a celebration. Now what could I wear? 🙂 🙂 Have a great week, darlin. Bagging up the hugs to put in the post.

    1. It was brilliant Jo, I could have stayed all day and evening. It’s for the whole LGBT community, they were out in force and well supported. The police were dancing and wearing rainbow things and the fire brigade. Apparently ours is the first of the season, I’d love to see London’s, it must be huge! I think a rainbow tutu would suit you, I might even join you, my legs are my best bit 🙂
I’ve got your hugs already, Postman Pat came by air mail and collected yours as well x:-)x

      1. I’ll keep an eye open for one for next year. Sure to find one in the charity shops. 🙂 🙂 Hugs, sweetheart! It’s finally stopped raining! The grass will be SO green 🙂 🙂

I would love to hear from you . . .
