Yes, after the most horrible week of rain and wind today was sunny with blue sky. The dogs were champing at the bit, especially Flora who’s been recovering from her surgery, so their favourite destination, the valley park, was calling.
I could see the cows way off in the distance
You can’t tell from the pic but this is a very steep hill!
The land is farmed, cattle grazing in summer, arable and a fabuous meadow.
An organised walk for some, a run for others
A dramatic cloudful sky
Towards Wonford and the hospital
George rushing headlong to the steep valley
Looking north west of the city
This isn’t our way in, that was a mile or so back
I don’t think Jo’s posting a walk this Monday, but this is to wish her a Happy Birthday, have a fabulous week lovely girl 🙂

A glorious day, indeed, Gilly!
This looks like a decent walk, Gilly. Beautiful skies.
Bless your cotton socks, Gilly 🙂 🙂 Love those clouds buffeting along in the blue sky. Thanks so much!
And happy birthday from me too for Tuesday 🎉🎁🍾🌹🍰
Tomorrow is another day. 🙂 🙂 Not sure if I told Gilly but there is a rather challenging walk, in memory of a lovely lady who died much too soon, tomorrow. Not how I’d normally spend my day, but they’re a good crowd and it’ll be my turn one day! We’ll eat and drink afterwards and it’ll be quite emotional. At present there is a forecast for rain so maybe it won’t happen… Thanks, anyway!
You were lucky. It was still chucking it down here most of the day and windy too. Brightened up towards late afternoon. That looks like a lovely place to walk in.
Oh this is glorious!
Clouds star as well as a lovely landscape. I nearly missed George.
I wish you’d all stop complaining about rain! We need it SOOO badly, although there was a bit at the weekend.
I hope you get it soon, I remember the drought and heatwave we had in 1976, it was awful, probably no where near as bad as you have though.
