This week, I’d love for you to look at things a bit differently. Whether it’s through an actual picture frame, a few stalks of grass, or even the spokes of a bicycle tire, find an alternative frame to the world around you and share what you see!

For Ben Huberman, in response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Ornate.” A photo of such a small part of the Sagrada Familia can only give you a little idea of how ornate it is. Or is it? It definitely isn’t gaudy, just sheer elegant beauty.
This is my take on ornate, join in with your photos!

This week, share an image that has two clear halves, literally or figuratively. You could focus on composition, like me, and take a photo with an explicit dividing line (either vertical, horizontal, or diagonal). Or take the theme in other directions: zoom in on a pair of objects that together form a whole. Show two people whose demeanor or personality complement each other. Or bring into balance two opposing visual elements — light and dark, color and its absence, sharp focus juxtaposed with blurriness.
at this weeks photo challenge. I decided to go with the light and dark, colour and lack of it, which is the same thing really isn’t it?

The best bit of my trip to Barcelona in April was Sagrada Familia, so I thought I’d show you why. This is Gaudi’s last and greatest masterpiece, and it’s hoped that it will finally be finished in 2026 to mark the centenary of his death.
I’m not going to ramble on, nothing I could say isn’t said better on the Sagrada Familia website, but love it or hate it, this building is incredible. These photos were all taken with a compact camera from the Bus Turistic, how I wish I’d been able to take my dslr!
