The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2011 annual report for this blog.
Which is a little inaccurate (must have been compiled around early December) because in my first seven and a half months I posted 75 times and had about 5600 hits.
Here’s an excerpt:
A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 4,400 times in 2011. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 4 trips to carry that many people.

hi Gilly, somebody beat me to it – i was about agree with you that the results are a bit off, as you say. for some people this appears to be the case even more so than for others. so the stats need to be taken with a grain of salt. i think you are right about the reports being compiled before year-end. nevertheless, isn’t it fun? interesting to see where readers are from, and to see the slideshow of the top posts!

Lists are always fascinating especially when they are about ourselves aren’t they? they picked a winner! It’s helped me to feel that I’m getting established which is cool. Happy 2012 with lots of writing and photography!
