Freshly caught at Lyme Regis this afternoon!
That’s an extraordinary shot, Gilly. A little gruesome but like an old painting. Good one – memorable and makes me think. 🙂
an image redolent with emotion, the open mouths of the fish, their staring eyes, rows of sharp teeth, and underlying all that the thought of delicious fresh fish for dinner!
Wow , Excellent shot Gilly I really love your subject for this week theme close up ,
Thanks for sharing 🙂
This photo gives me mixed feelings too. Poor little fishies, being scooped up out of their habitat to make delicious meals for folks like me. 🙂
fishing: good for us, not good for them …
The clarity of your photo is so realistic it makes us too
sad for th fish. They look fresher than fresh. Great entry
for Jakes challenge, Gilly.
Toodles,
Issy
Looks delish!
I liked your photo – the fish look so fresh and judging by the comments above, this is what really catches people’s attention! Great post!

Wow, that’s a fantastic photo! And a fantastic catch, too, I would think.
Up close all right, stick out a finger and I can touch ’em.
I wasn’t expecting that. Good shot 🙂

Brilliant close-up Gilly!
great image Gilly…and who did all that catching of the dinner ??
A random but nice man was walking along the road with the mackerel so daughter and I asked if we could take pictures of his supper – he had just bought them from the boat! I couldn’t eat them ugh, but they were a beautiful blue!
Wow, great picture! I thought you might be interested in a photo contest and I have nominated you for participating… here’s the link http://autumninbruges.wordpress.com/2012/08/14/capture-the-colour/
