The Lazy Poets Thursday Haiku

This laziness is becoming a habit and if I’m not careful Haiku will become a habit too.



Waiting final frost

A scattering of new seed



Naked branches stretch

Towards the beckoning sky

Dark twisted fingers


Waiting nature’s voice

To call from the underworld

Rise, I will provide

  1. This Haiku is wonderful. I never think these are easy. I have a friend who writes them and changes and rechanges and asks, “Which word sounds better?” etc. You do an amazing job, Gilly. Lovely.
