Back in March I walked along the Tiverton canal here in Devon. As usual I took many photos, a fair few of them were dull, out of focus, poor compositions, maybe that includes this one?
Sometimes an image can be redeemed, do you think that applies here?
And even put to good use, like this.
A beautiful coptic stitched notebook with a cover created from an indifferent image. Be careful what you delete!

Love it! Definitely not a waste.
Great idea! Love it!
I like the original best. The repetitive curves make it interesting, and the way the path and the water disappear around the bend so you can imagine where they lead.
great use of your image Gilly, and how lovely to have made a hand stitched notebook 🙂
And that’s why I don’t delete anything! (Well, and also I have a serious case of Packratitis 😉 )
Very nice, Gilly. And I agree with IsobelandCat – maybe there are other pictures you took that day that are better than this particular one; but considered on its own, this is a good composition.
I liked it in its original state, too, but utilizing it differently as a cover is wicked creative and cool!
It’s beautiful, I love the tree structure and the composition…..thank heavens you didn’t hit delete 🙂
I’m always amazed at the ways a photo can be rescued.
I save EVERY-thing and then can’t find it when I know I NEED it.
Lovely saved picture. 😀
This is just FANTASTIC! I LOVE silhouettes of trees ! It’s beautifully linear!
Very, very nice! And very, very creative. And don’t worry: I almost never delete anything. That’s why I have two computers that are so full they almost can’t function.
Stunning book cover, Gilly. You’re so creative. 🙂
Love it. Now of course I will have to find way to store all those I usually delete! 😉
Einen schönen Tag wünsche ich so schöne sehr Kreativ wünsche dir eine gute neue Woche liebe Grüße und Freundschaft.Gislinde
I love how that tree sits on the curve of the bank…great capture and perspective.
What a wonderful idea! Thanks, Gilly.

Love that book cover!!
The same applies for art pieces and writing. It is best if you are not crazy about it to put it aside for a couple of months. You really found a valuable way to use the image. The transformation is perfect.
