  1. Lovely haiku and photo. I’m guessing the photo came first since the poem describes it perfectly. My students in the Writing Poetry class just finished a lesson on haiku (well, on three kinds of Japanese poetry) this week, and they enjoyed it immensely — particularly one of them who has struggled especially hard with getting meter and rhyme into some of his work. Haiku is really his “cup of tea,” so to speak.
