Black and White Sunday: Portrait

Paula hopes not to give us a headache with this weeks black and white challenge. I did briefly think ‘oh no’, I can’t do portraits, and most people don’t want their photograph taken -me included! But then I remembered these, taken a few years ago, of my niece at fourteen, a lovely young girl on the cusp of womanhood.

She’s all grown up now and will be heading to uni soon, the begining of a very bright future.
If you’d like to join the challenge pop over to Paula’s place, you’ll get a warm welcome.

I popped along to see Queenie’s House

A few weeks ago, I had half an hour to kill in London, so I walked from Victoria, up Buckingham Palace Road, wondering if Her Majesty had time for a cup of tea. Strangely, she had more pressing matters to attend to, so I just looked at her garden fence, click these for a bigger view,

her garden lighting,

and the statue across the road.

Oh well, I suppose I would have only had about ten minutes free to chat, but maybe next time.

The weekly photo challenge, I can’t believe it’s Friday again, but I’m really happy as I have two weeks leave now.

Jen H chose Mirror as the them for the challenge this week, and left us to interpret it in any way we like. I went to Bystock Ponds last weekend, and it was a lovely day for reflections, here’s one of my captures.
