I wish, but I do have next week off so perhaps there’s hope.
Meanwhile I think I’m just in time to joins the Lens Artist Challenge this week, where Amy has chosen Time to Relax as this weeks theme.
In June I had a day out with my friend Sue, a belated birthday treat for me. We went to Burrow Farm Garden in east Devon. There happened to be a wedding there that day and we saw several guests who’d arrived early enjoying the garden in full bloom. On family intrigued me, A mum, dad and their two children who seemed quite untogether and un- smiley considering the event.
Every so often we’d turn a corner and even just a few feet away it was as if we were invisible. Anyway at one point we spotted the dad relaxing.
I expect he would have been even more grumpy if he knew I’d snapped him.
What a great picture. I hope none of his friends see your blog and tells him about your surreptitiously photographing him!
Me too, but the guests seemed to have come from far and wide so fingers crossed!
That gentleman looks like someone hired him to pose in as grumpy a fashion as possible. Poor thing: he did it excellently. Maybe it was too hot for him or something, or maybe the family are all professional clowns during the week and wanted time off to be grumpy.
Lol, I like your thinking 🙂
I am used to the odd, and am rereading Terry Pratchett books, so anything is possible in my worlds!
He’s waiting for the dancing, tap shoes and cane at the ready! I hope you relax – ungrumpily – in your week off. Travelling? Or staying at home?
At home, a little writing, gardening perhaps and some local jaunts. I might even try to brush up my French for September 🙂
What a cool snap for relaxing, Gilly! It must be the heat. 😅 Thank you so much for joining us! Wish you a relaxing and enjoyable vacation!
Oh dear he does look so uncomfortable and grumpy. Hope you have a great week off next week and find time to relax
Hilarious shot! 🙂 🙂 Remind me where you’re going in September? Wishing you a lovely relaxing one next week. Thunder and lightning banging about here, and a bit of rain. 🙂
Perfect picture depicting the theme! Its been a while, hope you are doing great.
