Pretty little cottage indeed. Perhaps Alms Houses or Tied Cottages for farm workers.
I particularly like the fretwork in the dormers of the two middle windows allowing light into rooms which otherwise would be dark.

This is a CHARMING cottage! It’s BEGGING for some fox glove!
I love the cutouts in the gables – they look like they’re partly to allow light into the windows below and partly “for pretty” – do you know if that’s true? Also, I notice that the left and right halves seem to be mirror images, and that makes me wonder whether this is a single-family house or what we call a twin around here – one building divided down the middle, with separate owners for each side.
Hmmm! What lurks behind those lil. windows! Double Hmmm. Love the house.
