I expect a trio of haiku has a special name and if Bjorn http://brudberg.wordpress.com/ reads I hope he will tell me.
Four thousand years past
flourishing on Scorhill Down
ancient settlement
Solid granite rocks
disgorged by volcanic fire
circle hallowed ground
Tall maidens of stone
standing for millenia
sheltering their hearths

I think the second Haiku is particularly brilliant 🙂 Great job Gilly.
tremendously rich and evocative, well done gilly 🙂
This is brilliant, Gilly. The blend so perfectly
I don’t know much about haiku or poetry but this is pleasing to read, Gilly.
I love this line: disgorged by volcanic fire
it is just called a Haiku Trio Gilly…you could remane it maybe a triptych haiku
I love this.. I think I like Haiku too…
