I want to read the words under the lovely assemblage of seeds and pods. Your arrangement? I want to argue a bit with your haiku – seems to me to be glory now, especially the frilly complexity of the two at the bottom!
But all of your haiku could easily stand alone. It would be just as good without any pictures, and I mean that honestly. In fact, most of the time, I really don’t even pay attention to the picture until after I’ve read the poem itself. It’s the words that give the imagery. I do enjoy your photography though.
I knew Sue would love this the moment I saw it. Love the idea of still life / still death. Beautifully arranged and yes, you are a tease! We are all struggling to see under those poppy heads and lavender 😛
The cycle of life instilled in those seeds 😊
Yes, it’s a miracle!
I vote for life Gilly ha ha ! Nice post my friend .
Me too Jake!
I really like the arrangement of natural objects you have photographed here. There is an almost shamanic in them. Your haiku sums it up well
Thank you Suzanne, what an amazing comment!

The words are all my haiku and they’re all here on the blog, so you ‘re not missing anything! 🙂
Lovely! Still death or still life….I like your words! And like Meg, I want to read those words under your artful arrangement, Gilly! You tease!
They are all Lazy Poet’s Thursday Haiku Sue!
Brilliant words and thought provoking.
Ahh thanks Pauline!
Yes, brilliant. 🙂
Thanks Sweetie!
Stunning combination of words and nature, Gilly. Wish I could read the words underneath your ‘life and death’ items. 😕
Thank Sylvia, they are only my Lazy Poets Thursday Haiku!
Only? 😀
Gilly, this is superb. Haiku at its best.
You are such a dear Sandra, but I think I need to stop using photos because the haiku doesn’t stand alone?

Just my Lazy poet’s sweetheart!
Beautiful.
Thank you Cee 🙂
Oh, wow, Gilly! Super perfect, dead or alive! The two work so well together, image and poetry. 🙂
Thanks Jo, have you been writing any? perhaps some Portuguese inspired haiku soon?
Not a one, Gilly! Very remiss 😦 But I’ll not have a lot else to think about in the Algarve so I might scribble. 🙂
Brilliant … and we can all get caught up for the coming fall! 🙂
