Still death or still life?
fragments of summer waiting
for glory once more

  1. I really like the arrangement of natural objects you have photographed here. There is an almost shamanic in them. Your haiku sums it up well

  2. I want to read the words under the lovely assemblage of seeds and pods. Your arrangement? I want to argue a bit with your haiku – seems to me to be glory now, especially the frilly complexity of the two at the bottom!

  3. Lovely! Still death or still life….I like your words! And like Meg, I want to read those words under your artful arrangement, Gilly! You tease!

      1. But all of your haiku could easily stand alone. It would be just as good without any pictures, and I mean that honestly. In fact, most of the time, I really don’t even pay attention to the picture until after I’ve read the poem itself. It’s the words that give the imagery. I do enjoy your photography though.

  4. I knew Sue would love this the moment I saw it. Love the idea of still life / still death. Beautifully arranged and yes, you are a tease! We are all struggling to see under those poppy heads and lavender 😛
