I had to work out from dates where I took this photo. I know it was near Techiman, perhaps Baobeng Fiema in the Brong-Ahafo region. But I’ve never forgotten the joy on these children’s faces, jubilation even. They will be teenagers by now, I wonder how their lives have evolved.
Jubilant, adjective: showing great joy, satisfaction, or triumph; rejoicing; exultant.
If only we could bottle that happiness!
The children’s delight is contagious. A wonderful capture, Gilly. ❤ ❤ ❤

Such beautiful happy faces and so much joy here. Love this.
The joys of their faces are so beautifully captured! 🙂 🙂
May the joy remain as they grow older. This is a wonderful photo. What were you doing in Ghana and when, you amazing traveller?
Just on holiday in 2007, it was amazing. I needed an Africa fix and it’s so much safer and simpler to visit than Nigeria. There are a few photos and posts here from that trip!
I’ll seek them out.
Gilly, what a wonderful shot! They’re adorable.

Absolutely wonderful! They radiate joy! 🙂 As Meg asks, how/why? Sending enormous big hugs 🙂 🙂
On holiday in 2007, I might re-blog something from that trip 🙂
Good idea! 🙂 🙂
Such joyful faces and the background colour is so perfect. Perfect seems to be my favourite word for your posts Gilly…
They are so beautiful. The most endearing jubilation so far.
One of your most memorable portrait photos
Truly joyful. I, too, spent time in Ghana but it was a very long time ago.
Maybe you ought to plan a trip to Ghana again, Gilly. I will be waiting for you. 🙂
