Jo’s 3 day quote challenge was the first I came across and I thought oooh I want to do that one. So I begged her to pick me (in fact my bottom lip was out because she didn’t pick me first 🙂
Now I wouldn’t mind some help getting rid of these today,
but, the chances of that are zilch, so Instead I’ll remember the great Audrey Hepburn’s words.
Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it’s at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others
What do I like about these words? Well it’s a reminder that I’m pretty resilient, and to be kind to those who are less so.
The rules of the challenge are simple,
Thank the person who chose you, cheers darling

I’m inviting Issy who’s full of wisdom and creativity herself

and Margi an infrequent blogger, who I’d really like to see blog more often and a friend of nearly ten years
Join in if you have time and inclination 🙂 Margi don’t panic it isn’t a photo challenge!
I would have asked you absolute first but I didn’t think you’d make time. I love your quote and hope the weeding’s going well. I’ve zumba’d and am now sat on my butt for 5,before feeding himself then off to the marina to meet a friend. All go! Might make the garden later. My friend has a skin condition which means she has to avoid sun. My worst nightmare xx
Love this quote Gilly, not one I’ve heard before. You were on my list for tomorrow, but will have to put my thinking cap back on now.
Wonderful quote 🙂
Helping others, at times, can be so much more rewarding.
The smile or hug coming from the person is enough …. we are enough.
Inspiring words, Gilly. Thank you for the nomination. I would be honored to add
more positivity to the world. Have a good time gardening. My plans for Sunday are to have my hands in dirt repotting my orchids.
Issy 😎
Very good!
Love this quote, Gilly. I wish you luck with getting rid of the pretty blue weeds. 🙂
Excellent quote to marry with forget-me-nots 🙂
Excellent words of advice and what a gorgeous picture to go with it.
That’s a great reminder that we are capable of helping ourselves and others, Gilly ~ particularly as we age and feel more in need of a little support! 🙂
