Autumn in Bruges has chosen ‘See the World’ as her theme this week. Pop across to see a video and hear the great song by Gomez. Maybe you will join in this time? Here is my shot at it.
Signs like these can be seen all over the place and like the other places Yeji, on the shore of Lake Volta knows it’s the centre of the world, I have to agree!
Oh I love this song! So many movements in this one picture. I esp. Like the two sitting on the roundabout. 😉
thank you Gilly, now I know where the center of the world seems to be!
would like to sit there and play a little on my guitar …
I LOVE that type of sign and remember the first one I ever saw!
When I was really small, we spent time each summer at my “Uncle Johnny’s Camp” an old converted one room hunting cabin in the middle of nowhere on a lake with no name in N.H. He built a sign like that on the dirt road in front of the house, with arrow shaped “Mileage” boards pointing to: Boston 186mi; Williams’s Store 4.5mi.; Henniker, 56mi.
Memory is a funny thing, yeah? Thanks for prodding mine in this “direction!”
I love those multi-destination signs! Great choice for the challenge and great shot too! Have a nice weekend xx
I wonder how many ‘navels of the world’ exist? Beautiful photo Gilly.
This is a difficult challenge, I am still trying to work out what to post in response to the challenge. I do like your interpretation!
Great interpretation Gilly!
I just went to look at the challenge. Your entry is great, Gilly. These signs are such fun. 🙂
Great shot, Gilly. You even know my country more than myself. Congrats! 🙂
I LOVE your country Celestine!
What a great sign! Fascinating to see the center of the world.
