The them for Paula’s black and white Sunday this week is ‘through’. The possibilities are endless aren’t they? I love taking photos through garden gates and out of windows, but the view also has to work in monochrome. Hence, I’ve chosen a building, not any old building but Chichester cathedral.
So there we are, a view through the cloisters, up through the vaults, through a pretty gate and through from outside to in.
Chichester cathedral has a beautiful metal screen ,between it and the vaults, the treasure awaits, some of the Cathedral’s silver!
Caught between two worlds, almost as if an invisible sci-fi force field is wrapped around the people inside.
A flower for two bees to share between them.

This week’s photo challenge is guest hosted by Christopher Martin.
Lost in the Details. This challenge is about getting lost in the details. Once you’ve found a subject you want to photograph, challenge yourself to work a little further into the scene.
I’m not totally sure I understand what we are being asked to do this week, but hey here goes anyway! These photos were taken at Chichester Cathedral in West Sussex and I find the detail fascinating, if you click on them you should be able to zoom in. Hope you enjoy.

There are some very clever tips at the Daily Post today http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2012/11/02/weekly-photo-challenge-geometry/
Now, I’m sure the geometry was accurate in these three very old cathedrals but sadly craning my neck and holding a camera still and straight has made them look a touch wonky! Here is Gloucester cathedral.
and last, the best of all is Exeter
check out the fan vaulting in my earlier post if you don’t believe me! https://lucidgypsy.wordpress.com/2012/04/28/exeter-cathedral-2/
As I looked up, Lynne looked down!http://lynneayersbeyondthebrush.wordpress.com/2012/11/02/dont-forget-to-look-down/#
And here is a newbie with a lovely quilt!
Ailsa at wheres my backpack has posted rhythm as her challenge theme this week and here is my interpretation. Are they singing a rhythmic gospel song or something more baroque? you decide!
Maybe the lady with her trainers peeping out is a clue? I took the photo at Chichester cathedral.
