Jake has posted some rich autumn colour in his animation for the challenge this week

Here is my entry for autumn
But I don’t think that summer is over yet
There are plenty more of these guys for a start!
Fig leaf or Malabar gourds (Cucurbita Ficifolia Bouche) grown at Rosemoor from seeds planted in May this year.
Oh wow!!! This is so cheerful 🙂 When you have the time, please drop by my space. I just made a soup that looks like a cappuccino. Confused? Come see 🙂 I’d love to hear what you think.
Great post Gilly I love your interpretation for this week theme 🙂
That’s the spirit Gilly!
Those Malabar gourds are huge, Gilly. What a great photo. 🙂
nature is gorgeous, isn’t it?
Hi, Gilly. These are great, but it’s your new header photo that I LOVE!!!!! DELICIOUS!
Amazing that the plant can hold its own weight!
Wonderful photo, Gilly.
BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!
Perfect shot; It is that pumpkin, melon time of many hues season… 🙂
Love your ‘not quite ‘autumn’ shots 🙂
This is interesting, Gilly. Are these edible? I don’t know what they are/ I know an artist that makes artwork from gourds. I wonder if there are different types. I love the close-up photo. It’s fabulous …!!!
They look enormous! How big are they really – as big as a fist, as big as a head, as big as a watermelon?
And the photos are beautiful!
Thanks Sharon, bigger than a very big head!
I think standing underneath them would make me nervous, then!
Awesome!
Autumn starts this coming weekend for us.
Refreshing and bright, truly a heart’s delight. That kind of rhyme, huh? In Houston though mornings are color, Summer is still everywhere and I was hoping to see some Autumn leave changes soon.
Nice shots
Gorgeous shot, Gilly. I’m not letting go yet, either.
Beautiful photo, but more than that I love your tenacity–hang on to summer as long as you can! I do too, but when I let go, I find myself leaning into autumn with pleasure.
