My last post from Greenway focuses on the garden. A lovely relaxing place, like most gardens it’s at it’s best in high summer but still plenty to see in April. Views of the river Dart are ever present and often make you stop and draw breathe.
Here are a few photos, click for a larger view and enjoy!
stunning pics Gilly … spring looks so fresh and lovely!
After so much rain this year everything looks great. I’m really hoping for a long hot summer!
Beautiful place and fantastic pictures. I’d really like to be there, perhaps one I’ll spend some months all around england this is one of my dreams. Happy Easter Beatrice
I hope your dream comes true Beatrice 🙂
Thanks 🙂
We will definitely be visiting so thank you for introducing us to another wonderful gem!
Oh goodie, you’ll love it especially if you can arrive by boat – park and ride at Dartmouth, then boat from the quay!
It all looks so uplifting, drenched in spring sunshine and beautiful fresh greens and flowers….looks like a wonderful place for a walk 🙂
It is stunning, especially early in the season before too any tourists arrive.:-)
it does look lovely Gilly…so ‘spring’
It’s gorgeous, a real treat to see!
So many beautiful places.
I love the springy shots 🙂 Looks like spring is in full swing where you are.
Yes at last, it’s wonderfully green everywhere 🙂
We had a wonderful spring in March, but April has turned very cold… winter coat back out most days! I am jealous.
Beautiful places Gilly …Thanks for sharing this 🙂
So glad you liked it Jake!
Absolutely lovely photos, Gilly. What a delightful place. 🙂
Yes it’s beautiful, so peaceful 🙂
Oh so pretty! You’re increasing my anticipation to see such wonderful places!
I know you’d love it there, but just a few miles down the road is Coleton Fishacre which is superb!
Actually, I have a question. After we hit London and the midlands, we’d like to take-in both coasts of Southwest England eventually ending in Newquay (how is that word pronounced?) I assume renting a car is best for this? (we Americans do LOVE our cars! 😉 )
Hi! I don’t know where you mean in the midlands but I think if I had a choice I’d get a train down from there to maybe Salisbury and hire a car then. Cross the New Forest, then the south coast – including Exeter of course. Newquay is pronounced newkee and Torquay torkee! Is there a special reason for going to Newquay?
Beautiful garden with so much adventures!
The solitary bench is the spot I’d choose.
Who doesn’t like a garden. It is always a
very peaceful place to visit. Lovely, Gilly.
Thanks for the morning journey.
Issy XD xoxo
I love those river views, Gilly. Really beautiful 🙂
