Last year, after a visit to Tavira in the Algarve, I posted about the interesting door knockers there. I always intended to post some photos of the equally interesting doors, but forgot all about it.
Any favourites? Mine is the one that say ‘6door’ when you hover over it.
Then I say Becky’s Thursday Doors post, which has beautiful doors from various places in Portugal, and a link to an earlier post with an almost identical photo to this one.
Like me she found it irresistible!
Do you have a passion for doors? I’ll always remember a silver one I saw in Rajasthan.

I bet Jo has a picture of that one too. These are wonderful, thought you said you didn’t have many?!!
PS Thanks for the link 😀
I was convinced I had dozens because there were so many wonderful ones there 🙂
Funny that. Doors look better when they’re shut though we prefer them to be open
I do have a great passion for doors and I loved this post. 🙂
Have a great weekend,
I love doors and I love that last one with the bougainvillea growing over it! My favourite out of the gallery is 7door, because I like the tiles around the door too. They don’t really do home maintenance in Portugal do they!
Fantastic! I love the dilapidated ones with great textures and peeling paint such as 1 and 4…..
I love this door gallery! The last one is beautiful. 🙂
Great door gallery, Gilly. Yes 6door is also my pick. 🙂
9door is my favourite, although 6door comes close. This is a wonderful gallery
6 and 4, and yes I do have several of bougainvilea lane 🙂 🙂 Happy Sunday, Gilly! Out and about?
Top middle for me.
However, seeing these doors makes me want to just kick them all open. 😀
Excellent doors .. I saw some beauties in Shanghai. Love the bougainvillea 😄
Great series of photos. Door 1 is my favorite, but it was a difficult choice.
If only these doors could speak, they would tell all sorts of tales…
I’m saving up to go to Portugal it look’s like door heaven – Great pictures.
These are lovely. 🙂
