Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting Moment

If you’re a regular visitor to my blog you may think I’ve been rude this week not replying to your lovely comments! Apologies, I’ve been in Suffolk for a few days so I hope you will forgive me. I will try to catch up but I probably won’t make it for a while – I’d been doing so well recently too! Anyway at least I’ve taken around five hundred photos and I think the ones below fit this weeks challenge.

This funky clock captures a fleeting moment of the pier at Southwold.

A little closer.

The explanation, do you agree that it’s a fleeting moment?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Create

This is my friends work table just a few minutes ago. She is the most creative person  I know, one minute she will be decorating boxes like here and the next, chopping up some old Levis to make a journal, in between there may  be beads or desk pets. She works so hard it tires me out to watch her, often starting as soon as she gets up and staying at it for twelve hours. Next she collapses in an exhausted heap every bone aching, never learning to pace herself. The results are stunning.

What do you think?

Weekly Photo Challenge: Friendship

I’m very, very lucky. I have a lot of good friends and a handful of people who are very special to me and who have been part of my life for a long time. These two, J & S, I have known for 45 years! We became friends as school and now after all this time we still meet once a month. We have been there for each other through every major life event  and there must be very few things we don’t know about each other – except that we are getting to the stage where we remember the things from way back but the more recent stuff is another matter! We could have another 45 years of friendship at a pinch 🙂

Sorry girls! this is Christmas 2003.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Today

Gypsy is having a bad day! See below,

In the grand scheme it’s pretty irrelevant but it’s driving me crazy! Tomorrow is my birthday, the weather forecast is 16 degrees and rain getting progressively heavier just when I was hoping for a nice day out. I’m not a happy bunny.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Blue

Les Jardins Majorelle in Marrakech were once owned by Yves St Laurent and his ashes are scattered there. The garden was designed by Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 30s and his father, the artist  Louis’s name is given to the bright  colour of Majorelle Blue. In the heart of the city, it is open to the public and it’s wonderful to arrive by Caleche. The cobalt blue is everywhere around the twelve acre garden and the day I visited the sky was a close match.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Together

I decided to enter several photos to the weekly photo challenge this week and I hope you enjoy!

I’ve added an extra photo because of the lovely Sandra’s http://sandraconner.wordpress.com/ comment. She’s right it’s the perfect chance to show off my beautiful grandson even if I have no make up on and I hate being on that side of the camera.
