Summer means long hot walks on Dartmoor and a very happy dog who has found a mud wallow to play hippos in!

Weekly Photo Challenge: Blue
Les Jardins Majorelle in Marrakech were once owned by Yves St Laurent and his ashes are scattered there. The garden was designed by Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 30s and his father, the artist Louis’s name is given to the bright colour of Majorelle Blue. In the heart of the city, it is open to the public and it’s wonderful to arrive by Caleche. The cobalt blue is everywhere around the twelve acre garden and the day I visited the sky was a close match.
These photos are part of the Weekly Photo Challenge here, http://dailypost.wordpress.com/2012/05/14/weekly-photo-challenge-blue/
Weekly Photo Challenge: Unfocused
I like this! The excuse to use some photos that don’t make the grade.
First of all the city centre by night
Some ghostly Dartmoor ponies
and I don’t know how I made this mess, I was on a footbridge with windows, the red is reflected from behind and a bit of my reflection is in there too!
The building I was trying to photograph is the Royal Albert Memorial museum.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Together
I decided to enter several photos to the weekly photo challenge this week and I hope you enjoy!
I’ve added an extra photo because of the lovely Sandra’s http://sandraconner.wordpress.com/ comment. She’s right it’s the perfect chance to show off my beautiful grandson even if I have no make up on and I hate being on that side of the camera.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Journey
The weeks photo challenge is what I like to do most of all – journey! A journey for me is to be as far away from my normal world as possible, not necessarily in distance, but in culture, landscape, climate and experience. So the photo I have chosen was taken in Borneo, the greatest distance I have travelled, so far, and as this is in rain forest it’s really different from temperate England. This is the Kinabatanga river in Sabah.
Poisonous green snakes nestled in the trees and wild orang utans and proboscis monkeys were up there too. If you check out a post from last year you will be able to read more about this particular journey. https://lucidgypsy.wordpress.com/2011/05/20/nests-of-primates/
Weekly Photo Challenge: Arranged
Sara Rosso at the WordPress Daily Post has chosen the theme of ‘Arranged’ for this weeks challenge. I liked the way these brightly decorated sheep were arranged on the Cathedral green!
They were decorated by children in local schools and grazed on the green for the weekend, it’s a pity they didn’t stay.
